Serpentine Gallery / Serpentine Pavilion Intervention
At a one-off event, the studio transformed Sou Fujimoto’s summer pavilion at London’s Serpentine Gallery at its inaugural opening, bringing the cloud-like structure to life with an electrical storm.
The performative installation aimed to make the architecture ‘breathe’, awakening it’s character and energy, seemingly from within. For this work the studio referenced its past works which, similar to Fujimoto’s, rely on geometric foundations and interests.
The custom waterproof LED strips were magnetised, designed to be installed and removed easily in the short installation window.
